Hackable Cars and Wireless Sheep

Feb 9th NBC New York affiliate ran a story on hacking Wi-Fi’ed cars from 3,000 miles away.  Car can be stolen or an accident caused mid-drive.

The NTHSA wants cars to report out their direction, speed and location.  People are shockingly unconcerned about this – not just the radiation issue but about implications for privacy, too; but for those who realize what is at stake, this is a must-sign petition:

Meanwhile- it’s not just the cars, but the flock of sheep (yes, in the literal sense) who are being outfitted with Wi-Fi transmitters, meaning there will increasingly be no relief from this problem in rural areas:
