GAO: Wi-Fi can be hacked within the plane to down the airliner…

Internet access now available on most commercial flights makes it possible for hackers to infiltrate flight systems that could lead to taking over cockpit controls.”
There is a worry that if planes use the same wiring and routing for flight systems and entertainment, the aircraft could be compromised by terrorist hacking (file photo)
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) Report states: “According to cybersecurity experts we interviewed, Internet connectivity in the cabin should be considered a direct link between the aircraft and the outside world, which includes potential malicious actors.”  http://www.gao.gov/products/GAO-15-370

After this revelation by a computer expert, Chris Roberts, on FOX news, the FBI stopped him in an airport on his way to a security conference, questioned him for four hours, tried to seize his computer and drives and investigated the plane he was on to see if he tampered with it.  After consulting with his CEO, Roberts asked the FBI to get a warrant.
